Mist – an online collective of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals from India – aims at bringing the queer and ally community together to celebrate the joyous moments of life and building the strength within community. MIST is a space to share your talents, to learn and to be part of a bigger family.
Mist organizes a one-time event in some of the major cities in India called Queer and Allies Art Festival (QAAF) which brings out the queer and ally artists from all over India, providing a stage to showcase their talents and grow up in the career and life. QAAF was organized at 2 cities (Pune & Bangalore) in 2015 and 3 cities (Chennai, Hyderabad & Pune) in 2016. Mist aims to bring up the event in 2017 around 5-7 cities (Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta).
Mist has a support group for the queer community members in and around Pune, named as “Queer Talks And Meetings” (called as QTAM) which happens on weekends, twice in every month at a queer friendly café or any of the QTAM member house where we discuss about some LGBT topics.
At present, Mist has its team members in three cities of India – Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad. For more details, get in touch with any of the below community member and get updates about the events organized under the banner of MIST.
